Time for a brand new Bubblypoptail in Marbs!
This week I picked up a 2-pack of a hard-looking orange fruit which turned out to be a Yellow Passion Fruit. I kind of thought I had used all the passion fruits by now, but guess not. I also bought a packet of golden berries which I find quite tasty plus they look nice as a garnish😊
This passion fruit was sweet but at the same time quite acidic so I thought it might work nicely with my bottle of Bax Botanics Verbena (which has a mixed flavour of citrus and floral notes, this is one of my favourite non-alcoholic spirits) and Nine Elms No.18 (which is more fruity & spicy plus has a bit of a bitter in it as well – It’s really nice!). Here we go…
Ingredients
Ingredients for two glasses:
75ml Bax Botanics Verbena
75ml Nine Elms No.18
1 green passion fruit
6 golden berries
1 lime
A teaspoon of brown sugar
Recipe
Simply follow these 5 steps and your delicious non-alcoholic cocktail is ready!
- Cut the yellow passion fruit in half and scoop out the fruit into a shaker
- Cut the golden berries in half and add them to the shaker with the sugar and lime juice
- Muddle for a few minutes and make sure that all the juice is extracted from the fruit
- Fill the shaker with ice and add the Bax and the Nine Elms
- Shake, shake, shake and strain into your favourite glass – Garnish with a berry. If you like a more tart flavour, discard the brown sugar and add a touch more lime juice
I served this one straight up, but it was also yum over ice. Njoy!
You can buy the Bax Botanics Verbena HERE for £18.99 (500ml) & the Nine Elms No.18 HERE for £15.65 (750ml). Both of these drinks are lovely to make all kinds of cocktails with!
Let me know if you have any questions and/or suggestions… 😉
