Alcohol-free pineapple Cocktail

Alcohol-free pineapple cocktail: Spicy Piña – Try now!

Time for a brand new bubblypoptail (non-alcoholic cocktail)… The sun is shining here in Spain and while in the supermarket today I saw these cute, little pineapples for sale. So I got one and decided to use it for an alcohol-free pineapple cocktail… The Spicy Piña!

Alcohol-free pineapple cocktail: Spicy Piña

The non-alcoholic spirit that I´m using for this alcohol-free pineapple cocktail is the Spiced Cane Spirit from Lyre´s. Lyre’s is a company that created a large range of non-alcoholic spirits. It was founded by two Australians in Britain in 2019. So what is the Spiced Cane spirit? This is a spirit, mimicking a balanced and rich spiced Rum. Interesting fact: Did you know that the name Lyre´s is based on a Lyrebird? Lyrebirds are incredible mimics, and have been known to imitate the sounds of chainsaws, car alarms, dogs barking & many more, including the human voice! So a brilliant name really, as this company is literally mimicking all the types of alcohol (in a complex and unique way). In their words:

Lyre’s spirits look, taste, smell and sashay around your palate just like the original. And with all the classic spirits represented, practically every cocktail known to man can be faithfully recreated and enjoyed in a non-alcohol fashion.

Ingredients

To make one (1) Spicy Piña cocktail you need the following ingredients:

1 mini pineapple
100ml Spiced Cane Spirit from Lyres
10ml (fresh) ginger juice
Half a lime
Ice

Recipe

It is pretty straightforward to make this alcohol-free pineapple cocktail. Just follow these three steps:

1. Scoop out the inside of the pineapple so you end up with a cup. I cut around the outside edges with a knife, then sort of scooped out the flesh and used a spoon to smooth it out. I am sure there is an easier way, but eh, it worked 😉

2. Put half of the pineapple flesh in a blender with the other ingredients until fluffy

3. Then serve it in your homemade pineapple cup with a straw and a cocktail stirrer and sit down & relax… Njoy!

ℕ𝕆𝕋𝔼: The pineapple I had was really sweet so I did not add any Agave syrup to it. This might be needed (desired) if your pineapple is a little more tart.

Result

A delish and beautiful tropical drink! It’s sweet, fluffy & fruity with a spicy after-kick.

Let me know if you´re going to make this one, as I would love to hear what you think. Plus… don´t forget to check back here for more ideas for nice, alcohol-free cocktails!
