Today I´d like to talk about one of my biggest crushes: Travelling!
Who doesn´t like going on a holiday you say and yes, true! But my love goes deeper than that of the regular holidayer – The thought alone of walking into streets I don’t know yet (I´m a big city lover), exploring new neighbourhoods and their people, coffee shops & quirky shops makes my heart skip a beat 🙂
I´ve been in quite a few countries so far but at the moment I seem to be kind of stuck with NYC… I just love this city so much that I have visited it for the last 3 years and I already booked again for the coming one haha
The main reason for this (super early) booking is that Lucy Rocca from www.soberistas.com is organising their first-ever official Sobriety Meet-up outside of the UK and Ireland – Right in the heart of Manhattan!!
Obvs I need to be there 😉 It will be a day revolving around sobriety featuring Veronica Valli (recovery coach/psychotherapist/author), Jolene Park (nutritionist/founder of coaching website Healthy Discoveries) and Lucy Rocca – founder of www.soberistas.com, sober coach & author of several quit lits.

I am so excited to attend this event and for sure will explore all the sober venues, bars and products while there too. Another thing I am looking very much forward to is meeting new fellow soberistas!! Hopefully I will see some familiar faces from my last meet up in Dublin. And I don´t know what it is with New York but just wandering down the streets and looking around me while exploring new territory puts the biggest smile on my face 🙂 Wish it was September 2020 already!
But obvs there is more to see in the world than NYC… Last summer my family and I visited Hawaii. Oh, what a beautiful collection of islands, with nature so pretty and an amazing culture… People here are friendly and relaxed (which is typical tropical island behaviour I think as I experienced the same on Aruba haha) and there just doesn´t seem to be any rush. Ever. Pure bliss!!
And then there´s New Zealand, OMG!! Incredibly versatile and such amazing landscapes, almost unreal… I´m lucky to have a husband who actually is fróm New Zealand so we have been travelling there regularly, to visit family. We usually also stop for a few days in Australia since it´s so close to NZ and yet so different. More city-ish I would say and a whole different vibe but with the same beauty . So many beautiful spots in the world, can´t wait to go to my next destination…
