Smoking Greyhound

Brand new Bubblypop Cocktail: Smoking Greyhound

Today I made a brand new bubblypop cocktail: 🍸 The Smoking Greyhound —> A smokey – and alcohol free! – twist on the classic Greyhound 😉

Ingredients

This is enough for 2 drinks:
1. Two grapefruits
2. Some ice
3. Liquid smoke —> You can buy this readymade in any good supermarket
4. Syrup —> You can make your own syrup easily. All you have to do is to bring 150ml of water and 2 tablespoons of sugar to a simmer, stirring it until the sugar dissolves and then reducing it to about half the volume
5. Sea Arch

Sea Arch is a non-alcoholic spirit that is crafted using traditional distillation techniques. The drink is created in Devon by Sarah and Geoff Yates, who say it is: “Bursting with seaside botanicals and as uplifting as a walk on the beach”. Sounds good to me! They make it with natural botanicals such as sea kelp, samphire, cardamon and blood orange. At the end they remove the alcohol gently to create a grown-up, alcohol-free spirit. I tried it and really love Sea Arch, is has a great, original taste! I bought my bottle at the Blue Dolphin Store for €29,65 – BUY HERE

Recipe of this bubblypop cocktail

To make a Smokey Greyhound you start by squeezing the grapefruits and add this juice to a shaker full of ice. Add a drop or 2 of liquid smoke (careful, it is strong stuff) and 25ml of syrup. The next thing to do is to add a good measure of Sea Arch (75ml per serving), shake, shake and shake some more, pour into a beautiful glass of your choice and enjoy 🍸 It’s smokey and bitter and just yum😋

Hope you liked my little cocktail and I wish you a lovely weekend!
