The Amsterdam Cocktail Week 2020…!!
If you are lucky enough to be in Amsterdam between 16-22 March then you’re in for some fun. After London, Paris and Singapore it is now time for Amsterdam to showcase the class and diversity of its bars to the world! In this week 45 specially selected bars will offer 2 discounted signature cocktails. One with alcohol (€8) and the other cocktail will be non-alcoholic (€5) – Yay!! The world seems to be slowly opening its eyes to the beauty of sobriety… Fun fact: The bars will also hand out collectable recipe cards so you can re-create the drinks you loved most at home!

The organisation of Amsterdam Cocktail Week has a website where you can find all the participating bars + the signature cocktails that are specifically thought up for this event.
My favourite signature cocktail after a quick look on their website is the one featured on the picture above: The ´Fleur op Ouwe´ which is on offer at BAR MOKUM (Address: Ferdinand Bolstraat 11 in Amsterdam) – The cocktail has a funny name, it means something like ´Cheer up mate´
Ingredients:
- 5O ML DAMRAK VIRGIN O.O %
- 25 ML LEMON JUICE
- 15 ML SUGAR SYRUP
- ROSEMARY 1 SPRIG
- THYME 1 SPRIG
- CUCUMBER 1 SLICE
Method & glass:
- SHAKE & FINE STRAIN OVER CRUSHED ICE – CUCUMBER, ROSEMARY, THYME, EDIBLE FLOWER
- ROCKS GLASS

It all sounds pretty amazing and if you look at their website there´s some very cool bars that are participating. Anything from small, underground cocktailbars to fancy hotel bars! I planned a little city trip to Amsterdam for myself that week so I will be sure to report back on a few bar visits and non-alcoholic concoctions.
