Time for a brand new Bubblypop Cocktail, no alcohol involved obvs…! 🍸 Today I made an alcohol-free aperitif for you.
I made this one with quite an exotic fruit (stolen from my neighbour’s garden, sorry, not sorry🙃), a pomegranate. The other main ingredient is a non-alcoholic spirit from Lyre´s so therefore I’m naming this concoction: The Lyre’s Granate…!
How to make it… It’s rather simple:
- You put the juice from one pomegranate into a shaker
- Add 15 ml of lime syrup (see below for recipe) & 50ml of Lyre’s Dry Vermouth
- Then add ice, shake until cool and strain into a martini glass
- Garnish with a few pomegranate pits y voilá!
Recipe for Lime Syrup:
You squeeze one lime into a little pan, add 3 teaspoons of sugar, half a cup of water and then simmer this mixture until the sugar is dissolved and it’s slightly thickened
Result —> A sweet, elegant looking Bubblypop cocktail with a gorgeous colour. Perfect as an alcohol-free aperitif!
Note: I initially used too much syrup which made it a bit too syrupy/sweet so be careful not to use more than the 15ml
So what is Lyre’s Dry Vermouth? Lyre’s Dry Vermouth is a non-alcoholic spirit that tried to capture the essence of alcoholic dry vermouth (vermouth is a fortified wine, flavoured with various botanicals, originally from Italy). And I think they succeeded! I also love the caption on their bottle:
I bought the bottle at my favourite ‘alcohol-free drinks only’ shop in Spain, the Blue Dolphin Store, for €26,95 – BUY HERE If you´re in the UK you can buy the Lyre´s Dry Vermouth HERE for £22.99, this is the online shop The Alcoholfree Co.
I hope you enjoyed today´s Bubblypop Cocktail and let me know if you have any questions or comments in the field below!
