I have been organising alcohol-free retreats for women in sunny Spain since 2021, and this year I’m hosting my first-ever retreat in the United States: The Sobertopia® City Retreat – A fun, alcohol-free boutique retreat in the city of San Francisco, focused on authentic connection!

The Venue

The 2025 Sobertopia® City Retreat takes place in Chateau Tivoli: A beautiful chateau-like mansion in Alamo Square, San Francisco. This B&B is completely booked up for just our group, which gives us the utmost privacy. The Alamo Square Historic District in San Francisco is a vibrant residential neighborhood, famed for its iconic Victorian and Edwardian architecture, particularly the picturesque row of homes known as the “Painted Ladies” (which we will visit, of course!). It’s a lively area with an active arts scene, numerous eateries, and boutique shops. The neighborhood is also home to the famous Alamo Square Park, offering breathtaking views of the city. Believe me, you’ll find yourself in a city haven you won’t want to leave…

This vibrant city retreat takes place over 2 days/nights. Days that offer you relaxing yoga, interesting workshops, an urban nature walk, coffee in cute local coffee shops, a guided sound bath meditation, and sharing and connecting with likeminded women about all things alcohol-free!

During this weekend retreat you will:

Retreat Price

Normal Price: $950 Early Bird Offer: $895 (for the first three bookings)
Your booking will be confirmed once your payment has been received. A payment plan is available upon request (2 consecutive monthly payments of $475), just reach out if this would support you.
Please note: ANY FUNDS PAID ARE NOT REFUNDABLE, so make sure you’re ready to make this commitment, and/or take out travel insurance

Retreat Accommodation

This retreat takes place at Chateau Tivoli in the beautiful Alamo Square District in San Francisco. The Chateau was built in 1892, and served many purposes since. It was fully restored in 1985, and was opened as a bed and breakfast on October 13, 1989. In 1997, the Chateau was purchased by the Shohet family. They continue to operate it as a B&B, and have added authentic furnishings to make sure that it remains one of the “greatest painted ladies” of them all! I reserved this B&B in its entirety for this weekend (plz note that the B&B is a walk-up building with no elevator).
The accommodation is not included in the retreat price. You can book your room at Tivoli with a 15% discount (I will send you the link upon booking the retreat), there are only 10 spots available.

The check-in for this retreat is at 3pm on Friday November 21, and the retreat finishes at 5pm (check-out of your room is at 11am, but your luggage can be kept in storage until departure).

Notes

• Sober (curious) 18+ women only – No alcohol allowed on the premises, this is an alcohol-free retreat! You don´t have to be sober for any specific amount of time HOWEVER you have to be sober or sober-curious. This Sobertopia® City Retreat is not a detox trip for drinkers
• This retreat might not be suitable if you are still depending on alcohol. If you are worried about your drinking, you should probably contact a doctor
• We will set up a WhatsApp Group before the retreat commences so everyone can get to know each other a little bit beforehand (optional to participate)

Parking

Chateau Tivoli does not have parking available. Unrestricted street parking is not available for non-resident vehicles during the day. Overnight street parking is free but may be difficult to find. When parking on the street, please read all signs carefully and curb the wheels. There is a parking garage at 1470 Eddy Street (Fillmore Heritage Garage) with overnight parking for approximately $25. The garage does not offer in/out privileges.

Whether you prefer a more economical room by sharing with a friend (or I can help you pairing up with another guest), or having a suite to yourself, it is all possible! These prices are for the 2 nights, and include the City Tax and the 15% discount on the regular price:

Deposit & Cancellation Policy

• To reserve your space in this 2025 Sobertopia® City Retreat, full payment is required. This retreat payment is under no circumstances refundable, so make sure you’re ready to make this commitment and/or take out travel insurance
• Up to 30 days before the retreat starts, retreat payments may be transferred to another person without penalty
• In the highly unlikely case that the retreat will be cancelled by Sobertopia® due to force majeure, including natural disasters, pandemic, travel bans, war, civil unrest or other unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside our control, you will receive a full refund of payments made
• Sobertopia® will not be held responsible for any refund of airline tickets, ticket change fees or other travel expenses. Therefore I strongly urge that you take out travel insurance to protect yourself

Once you’ve done this, you’ll receive a confirmation email with payment details and a booking link for Chateau Tivoli (including the 15% discount). To secure your spot in this retreat, you have to take two steps:

1. Book the hotel room of your choice at Chateau Tivoli
2. Pay for the Sobertopia® City Retreat

Once both these steps are taken, you’ll receive a confirmation email, and you´re all set!
